  Hi Suna,
  
  I arrived without trouble to La Rochelle wednesday evening around 23h00 and since there
  wasn't any taxi in front of the station, I returned by foot to my house but my city isn't
  Kabukichou!. Fortunately I just "lost" my purse (saifu) in Beppu and not my passport, airline &
  train tickets and my wallet (tesage) with my credit card. Thanks to my credit card after my complain
  in the police, I went to the central post office to have cash money and after I took a ferry from
  Yawatahama to Matsuyama where I took a plane to Haneda.
  
  However Beppu is a splendid place along a marvelous bay dominated by sangakuchitai. This city
  is very dynamic with prestigious daigaku like AIPU, research centers and kokusai congress centers.
  In Beppu there are 12 millions of tourists in a year and many foreigners of all over the world. Some
  of them aren't honests : according to the police there are thiefs (touzoku) who usually steal
  tourists. In Beppu there are bad people and there are porn, problems with drugs & prostitution. I
  won't return here, many people recommend me Yufuin near Beppu but more protected.
  
  Thank you very much to have put all yours photos of Izu on the web and thanks to this URL I
  can admire them. I appreciate particularly these of Jougasaki, Iro Zaki & Matsuzaki. You took a lot
  of shashin with your camera. We had the best weather in Jougasaki when we walked between the rocks.
  
  Thanks to your report of last sunday in your diary, I admire endly the majestic Fuji yama and
  the snow on its slopes. There are many lakes & ponds around Fuji yama. You had a sunny weather but
  the trees haven't any leaves like in winter. I think that it would be a good idea for a next touring
  to ride around Fuji!!. About Izu hantou, the organization was perfect but I think that it would be
  better to have chosen Odawara for my first night instead of Shinagawa eki area which was very noisy.

  I am glad to get to know that you have gone home safely.
  It was good that you had divided valuables into the purse and the wallet.
  
  As you know, Mt. Fuji is most famous and highest mountain in Japan.
  Since the form is alike, there are some other mountains which the name of Fuji attaches.
  Moreover, there are many towns of the name of Fujimi-cho.
  The meaning of "Fujimi-cho" is the town whose Mt. Fuji can be seen.

  クリプトナイトのメール、うちにもきました。
  自分の場合、米国本社の登録時に使った専用メールアドレス宛てに届いたので、
  信用して返事出してみました。（岡田商事自体も取扱商社でしたし）
  でそのあと確認メールがきて、昨晩宅急便で荷物がとどいた所まで確認してます。
  ＃まだ箱を開けてないので、実はガセだったりして(笑）
  もしよければやり取りしたメール内容、転送しましょうか？

  「走ってる?」ＧＷには復帰の予定でいます。
  
  エジンバラでどくたーのとおそろいのろくえふを見ました。
  道の向こう側の物陰からちょこっと顔を出したような感じでした。

  国内ではすっかり見なくなりました。＞F3
  海外は長く乗る人が多いんでしょうかねえ。
  パーツや消耗品も海外メーカの方が長くラインナップされてる気がします。

  「ステップアップ」

  Yesterday evening after I wrote you the message with Kanji, I forgot my wallet (saifu) on
  the computer's battery. I wore a kimono without baskets, so I put saifu on the battery. When I
  left the computer at 9h30 in Kamenoi Hotel in Beppu, I was very tired so I forgot to take my
  wallet with 20000 Y & 107 Euro. A thief stole my saifu during the night and when I woke up at
  5h30, the wallet wasn't in the reception. I had no coins. I paid the hotel with my credit card.
  In Beppu there are many foreigner from all over the world & very bad people. Yesterday
  afternoon I met in the onsen a Yakuza with "irezumi" on his arms. He came from Osaka and
  everybody disappeared when it saw his tatoo. With me he was nice but I didn't appreciate him ;
  but I don't believe that a Yakuza steal 20000 Y!. Everybody can enter from the street in
  Kamenoi hotel to have lunch in Joyfull or to buy souvenir. The computer area is closed Joyfull
  and behind the reception separated by a wall. So from the reception it is impossible to see
  something. For exemple people of the street, students use the computer free. There are a lot of
  german, american, australian, Korean, chinese & indian people. I met a student from Bengladesh
  from APIU (far from the hotel) who used the computer!!.
  
  I was very sad (sabishii) and furious because there aren't any poor people in the hotel.
  Someone richer (kanemochi) stole my wallet. The hotelier said me that steal a wallet happens
  often. I went to Beppu central Keisatsu office and they said that in Beppu there are many
  foreigner and often thiefs steal saifu. The most impressive was a document translated in
  perfect french!!!. But I don't think that the police will find my saifu since in Beppu it is
  very easy to change Euro, Dollar. I went to the post office to have cash & I took a ferry from
  Beppu to Yawatahama. I won't return to Beppu which is too dangerous. Perhaps one day I will
  return to Japan but now I don't know.

  I'm very surprised and felt bad about the accident which you encountered.
  It is very regrettable to face nasty thing in the middle of pleasure.
  
  Is it only the money which you lost?
  Did you lose other important things - Passport, Airline ticket, etc - ?

  　　金曜 I went to 鶴見 岳　(1374 m) with the ロープウェイ　＆ despite 霞　美しい眺め. I
  climbed from 鶴見　岳 to 鞍ヶ戸　(1344 m) where you can eｎjoy 美しい 眺め on 由布　岳(1584 m).
  
  土曜 morning I took 列車　別府／阿蘇. Since there was a small 噴火 in 中岳, 禁止　アクセス
  1 km around. So I coudn't visit 西　火口　& the bus stops at 阿蘇　火山　博物館 : 面白い.
  There are a lot of 観光客. In the afternoon I climbed to the top of 烏帽子 岳 (1337 m).
  Unfortunately I have fallen in 泥 : I was very 汚い. The bus's driver was very friendly and
  took me in front of 五岳 ホテル which isn't a 旅館. I took a bath in his private 温泉. In 別府
  亀の井　ホテル I took bathes in 温泉 & 露天風呂.
  On 日曜　morning I went to 大観峰 a famous place where you can enjoy 美しい　眺め　on
  180 degree. 日曜 there are many & many riders (百 ?). After 炎天下 I lost my way and a driver
  from　東京 took me to 阿蘇駅. 明日 フェリー　別布/三崎 to return to 松山.

  On Sunday, I run around Mt. Fuji which we did't look well last week by motorbike.

  　　I write you from 別府 in Kamenoi hotel & I just tried your guestbook with my french mail
  and it functions!.　Yes, you took 美しい 写真　parｔicularly these of 城ヶ崎. On sunday after my
  departure you spent a beautiful evening with Utchie under 桜。昨日　石鎚山　へ　行きました but I
  didn't climb until the top : 難しい。 I just walked through 森林 where I met 狸. 霞　天気　は.
  This morning I took the train 松山/八わた浜　and then フェリ　八わた浜/別府 (2h40). When I
  arrived to 別府, I lost my way and endly I found 亀の井 Hotel which has 3 free computers. I went
  to the top of the globalタワof 別府　(100 m) and of course 美しい　兆望　on 湾 ＆山岳地帯　
  despite of 霞. 明日 I will take the ロープウェイ to go to the top of 鶴見岳　1374 m!. Yuka
  appreciates 香水　that I gave her in 小田原.

  The photographs which you looked at are not all that I took last weekend.

  「調子はどうよ」
  　　　　Hi Suna,
  
  Thank you very much for this marvelous touring through Izu Hantou & its splendid
  landscapes. The touring's organization was perfect. Although you can ride sometimes very
  fast (but less fast than Yuka), you are a very experiented & careful rider. Atagawa's
  Ryokan was very confortable with low price (renka isn't it), delicious food (banmeshi &
  choushouku) and endly marvelous onsen a little hot!.
  I appreciated particularly sakura hanami, Jougasaki with tsuribashi, gekiryuu,
  impressive cliffs & the splendid view from the lighthouse. I like very much Iro zaki &
  kaigansen from Iro Zaki to Dogashima. Matsuzaki is a nice place to enjoy beautiful views
  of Nishi kaigan & Suruga Wan. However I don't remember the name of the place in the
  mountainous area where we had lunch sunday　together with　Moichi & Utchie. I only regret
  that the weather became very cloudy because we coudn't enjoy full the splendid
  landscapes. For exemple from Darumayama it was impossible to see & admire Fuji san　: we
  only saw Numazu's wan between the clouds.
  
  Thank you very much to have helped me in Mishima eki with Shinkansen kippu because
  I was very tired. While we were returning to Tokyo, the weather was less cloudy after
  Odawara & a little sunny near Yokohama! But it began raining in Tokyo on Sunday night &
  Monday morning. What about the jishin near Choshi in Chiba ken this monday morning ?.
  
  I was very happy to have met Yukita, Gaku & Eri, Yuka (don't forget to tell her
  what I said you about her in the onsen), Yuuki Yasuhiro, Moichi and endly Utchie who
  joined the touring sunday for lunch. You can read my messages on their guestbooks. In
  Matsuyama the weather is very cloudy and tomorrow I will go to Ishizuchi san the top of
  Shikoku. In the plane between Haneda/Matsuyama I was unfortunately sat in the aisle side,
  far from the window : so I saw anything but I think that it was impossible to see Fuji
  san and other places because of the cloudy weather.

  The place where we ate lunch on Sunday is the Nishina bokujou（仁科牧場）.
  How did you feel about the Shinkansen? it was fast and comfortable, wasn't it?
  
  The earthquake did not affect me.

  When I will arrive on 04/08 friday afternoon to Shinagawa Eki, I will buy my ticket
  train for Saturday (Shinagawa/Odawara : 8h12/9h25 with Tokaido line) and I will look for
  the different platforms. So I hope that I won't miss my train and arrive late!!.
  My features are the followings : I will wear my black leather jacket with a blue
  jean, I have glasses (megane) and my height is around 1,75 m. In my baggage I will bring my
  helmet & gloves (tebukuro). I will entrust to you with a present (miyage) for Osamu. I
  think that later you will meet Osamu and give him his present since unfortunately I won't
  meet him because of his moving to Morioka.
  Few people speak English language (eigo) in France. I learned English in school but
  I don't speak very well : my pronounciation is bad. When I write on your guestbook, I use a
  dictionary. I think that it is a very good idea to bring with you an electronic dictionary
  : it will be very useful and practical to speak with you & the others!.

  The Tokaido Line has a train every about 15 minutes.
  So you do not need to be so much worried. :-)
  
  I understand about the miyage to osamu.
  It may become the good purpose of my touring to Morioka. :-)

  Thank you very much for have reserved this hotel in Atsukawa near higashi kaigan : the price is
  very interesting (renka) moreeever with choushouku & banmeshi. I visited the site, saw the map &
  onsen!.
  
  On April 9 Sat I will take a train (Tokaido JR line) : 8h12/9h25 from Shinagawa eki to Odawara
  where I will arrive around 9h25. But if you prefer, there is an another solution with Kodama Line
  (Shinkansen) : 8h04/8h32 only 28 min. If you decide that it is better to leave Odawara earlier, I can
  choose Kodama line which is faster. So I will meet you, Yuka, Yukita and perhaps Loony & Utchie. Does
  Utchie speak english ?.
  On April 10 Sunday, you will take me in front of Mishima Eki. On sunday I sleep in Toyoko Inn
  Hotel near Haneda kuukou (Haneda Honkan, the nearest from the airport). I will take the train from
  Mishima (18h24 with Kodama Line) to Haneda (where I will arrive at 19h37) through Shinagawa Eki.
  I am looking forward to meet you and the others and I hope that the weather will be fine!.

  Conversely, the distance of our touring on Saturday became short.
  Therefore, you do not need to hurry on Saturday.
  
  Then, I will wait for Tokaido Line of 9:25 in Odawara.
  Even if you are late for it, I will wait for a subsequent train.
  My feature is the following.
  - I wear the black jacket.
  - I am growing a beard.
  - My height is about 160cm.
  
  Although many Japanese can do English reading and writing,
  English conversation is not so their favorite.
  And the same is said of me... So, I want you to understand that.
  
  Then, I will bring an electronic dictionary, in order to compensate that.
  And I hope that the weather will be fine too!

  I saw yours 2 last reports around Kasumigaura with the windmill (03/19) and through Bousou
  Hantou (03/21). It seems that the weather was sunny but cold. Do you succeed to find a Ryokan with
  a reasonnable price ?. I imagine that the investigation is very hard!.
  From now I know that Yuka will participate to our touring through Izu only on 04/09 saturday
  because on sunday she will take part to a racing with another friends. Yukita will come too. Maybe
  Loony ?. But what about Utchie ?. On 03/30 I wrote on his guestbook but there isn't any reply. I
  imagine that it is hard for Utchie to write an english answer. Will Utchie take part to our touring
  through Izu Hantou ?.

  I hvae reserved a hotel in Atsukawa(熱川). It is in East Coast in Izu.
  A price is 6300 yen. The expense of supper and breakfast is contained in it.

  Although the hotel has been reserved at a low price instead,
  the distance on Sunday of a touring became long.
  Probably we will arrive at Mishima(三島) around 18:00 on Sunday.
  It takes 1 hour or more by motorcycle from Mishima to Odawara.
  
  So I think that You had better use a train from Mishima.
  The Shinkansen takes about 1 hour and 3890 yen from Mishima to Shinagawa.
  An ordinary JR line takes about 2 hours and 2210 yen.
  
  
  It seems that there are few people who participate for two days,
  because they have other schedules on Sunday or work is busy.
  They have said that they will participate in the touring at least 1 day,
  if they are possible...
  
  Then, we need to decide on Saturday on time to meet at the Odawara station.
  Let me know the time when you arrive at the Odawara station on Saturday.
